Brenda Dales

Brenda Dales previously taught courses on children's and YA literature at Miami University in Ohio. For the United States Board on Books for Young People (USBBY), she was a member of the Outstanding International Books committee for two years and served as chair for two years. She has also served on various book selection committees including: 2021 Caldecott, 2023 Notable Books for a Global Society from ILA’s Children’s Literature and Reading SIG, 2024 Hans Christian Andersen, and 2025 Batchelder.
