Gustaf B. Skar

Gustaf B. Skar is a professor of language arts education at the Norwegian Centre for Writing Education and Research (The Writing Centre) and is currently the principal investigator of the writing intervention program Functional Writing in Primary School (also known as the FUS project), which involves around 300 teachers and 3,000 students in first to second grade in Norway. Skar has also been involved in several other research projects on writing instruction and writing assessment and has worked extensively with inservice training of teachers through his position at the Writing Centre.
