Kausalai Wijekumar

Kausalai Wijekumar (@KayWije) is the Houston Endowed Chair and Director for the Center for Urban School Partnerships (CUSP) at Texas A&M University. She has developed and tested teacher-led interventions and web-based intelligent tutoring systems to improve both reading and writing and focuses on bringing evidence-based reading comprehension and writing instruction to children of all ages and different needs. Wijekumar has dedicated her career to eradicating illiteracy by designing, developing, and testing effective web-based solutions for reading and writing.
