Tanya Santangelo is an associate professor in the School of Education at Arcadia University. For the past four years, she also served as an associate editor of the Journal of Educational Psychology. Prior to earning her doctorate in special education from the University of Maryland, Santangelo spent 10 years as an educator in the Washington, DC, area. Her two main areas of curiosity and expertise are enhancing teachers’ knowledge and successful implementation of evidence-based practices, particularly in the area of written language, and using meta-analytic methods to synthesize and advance educational research.
