Presented in conjunction with CASEL, this webinar/workshop hybrid looks at how to tend the social-emotional needs of both students and teachers heading back into the classroom (virtual or otherwise). During the 30-minute keynote, participants will learn how to apply the four SEL Critical Practices outlined in CASEL's Roadmap for Reopening School to literacy teaching and learning. Four workshops, each guided by literacy educators immersed in SEL, provide prompts for attendees to reflect on their own practices and additional resources to support continued work. Participants will leave with solid, research-supported ideas they can apply in their own classrooms, schools, and districts.
