Supporting Adolescent Struggling Readers

Date: September 21, 2023

Time: 05:00PM - 06:30PM

You must be registered to participate!

Educators who support struggling readers beyond age 9 (grades 4 and up) need a variety of age-appropriate instructional interventions in their toolbox. In this session, Peter Afflerbach and Danielle Dennis will provide participants with rooted-in-research strategies to support adolescent struggling readers and their academic success. They will also discuss the importance of providing learning experiences that will build self-efficacy and foster independence with metacognition—which in turn will result in more motivated, engaged, and confident students.

Who should register: Classroom teachers, literacy/instructional coaches, reading/literacy specialists, literacy supervisors/coordinators, instructional leads, teacher educators, and principals

Your registration gives you access to both the live event and the on-demand recording, which will be available to you through March 21, 2024.
