Too often, young learners are not given the proper time, frequency, and explicit instruction needed to develop as writers. As such, many aren’t acquiring the skills critical to their future success.
This ILA Intensive offers new and evolving perspectives on emergent and elementary writing instruction, with experts covering topics such as scaffolding, genre instruction, and composition. Host Steve Graham will share a global basic framework for writing instruction, and speakers will guide participants toward understanding what works, what doesn’t, and why.
