Christina Cassano

Dr. Christina Cassano is an Associate Professor at Salem State University, a former classroom

teacher and literacy specialist. Her research focuses on supporting dual language learners’ literacy and language development in preschool. Christina was President of ILA’s Literacy Development for Young Children SIG (2017-2020) and is on ILA’s Early Literacy Task Force. She co-authored ILA’s phonological awareness position statement (2019) and co-edited Pivotal Research in Early Literacy (2018).
