Lisa Forehand has worked as an educator for 20 years. She is fortunate to be an SDSU student—from an undergraduate to doctoral student—of Dr. Lapp. Dr. Fisher, and Dr. Frey and has been shaped by their educational philosophies. She passionately believes that knowing reading behaviors of students paired with the knowledge of differentiating instruction is the most powerful tool that teachers can use to facilitate literacy growth. As a school leader at Harborside Elementary in Chula Vista Elementary School District, she is dedicated to growing her teachers into literacy experts and promoting equitable literacy access for all students.
