Robert E. Probst

Bob Probst, author of Response and Analysis, is interested in the teaching of literature and reading. Professor Emeritus of English Education at Georgia State University, Bob has published on literacy issues in such journals as English Journal and Voices from the Middle. Coeditor of Adolescent Literacy: Turning Promise into Practice (Heinemann, 2007), Bob is also the co-author, with Kylene Beers, of Notice and Note: Strategies for Close Reading, Reading Nonfiction, Disrupting Thinking, and their forthcoming Forged by Reading: The Power of a Literate Life.
