Jacy Ippolito

Jacy Ippolito is a professor of literacy and leadership in the McKeown School of Education at Salem State University in Massachusetts, where he currently codirects graduate programs in Educational Leadership and is the cofounder and coleader of the Center for Educational Leadership at the university. Ippolito has worked as a reading specialist and literacy coach, and his research, teaching, and consulting focus on the intersection of coaching, leadership, adolescent/disciplinary literacy, and school reform. The results of Ippolito’s research and consulting work can be found in a number of journals, including The Reading Teacher, Journal of Adolescent & Adult Literacy, Professional Development in Education, and Journal of School Leadership. His work is also featured in a number of books, including Disciplinary Literacy Inquiry & Instruction , An UnCommon Theory of School Change, Investigating Disciplinary Literacy, Cultivating Coaching Mindsets, Adolescent Literacy in the Era of the Common Core, and Adolescent Literacy.
